above that you could just register them youselrf as an admin, but this seems ludicrous to me, you would let someone become an admin on your blog? (plus thats extra work for you- and how are they going to alert you to the fact? coment/send an email and wait for a reply??? hmm long process-maybe they dont want to do it that much)For multi user blogs, you can create and have as many different level of user as you so wish, customised as you so wish, way beyond the standard, admin, editor or user.Maybe for a review site, you would only allow registered users to post reviews or ratings, to keep them from filling up with pointless spam or what is essentially self advertising, which should in most cases, although reduce the number of reviews, give a cleaner more trustworthy set of reviewsMaybe you give something back to your users, and need them to be registered in order to duly recieve it.Maybe you have a forum inherently requires registration. How about the fact that registration is only one/maybe two more steps away from commenting on this blog, I have to fill in details here to comment, once registered however I can comment freely without having to fill in the same stuff over and over again. Maybe also my comments can get posted without moderation because im a registered user and the settings allow me to do so.Registration for the sake of registration is obviously pointless, but thats certianly doesnt aleviate that fact that it is very useful and very much needed in some circumstances.
