Journal of Western Archives Editorial Board Members and Peer Reviewers

04 Jan 2010 1:44 PM | Deleted user

Welcome to the new decade NWA members!

Anyone find themselves looking at a resolution that sounds something like “I’d like to get more involved” or “I’d like to be an editor”? This is your lucky day… The Journal of Western Archives is ready to launch and the folks at BYU need NWA members to fill out the editorial board and serve as peer reviewers.

What is it? “The Journal of Western Archives is an open access journal that will be based in the L. Tom Perry Special Collections (Perry Special Collections) and be produced in collaboration with western regional archival associations.”

Why do we need this journal? “Archivists living in the Western United States face a unique set of challenges related to the geography of the West, as well as its relatively recent history. The Journal of Western Archives will provide a venue where archivists working in the West can highlight their unique contributions to the archival profession. It will also be an open access journal meaning that its content will be freely available to archivists and other interested consumers via the Internet.”

If you are interested or have questions, please contact me directly at tiah.edmunson-morton@oregonstate.edu and I can fill you in on the details.
