The conference theme was developed during Board discussions about this year’s civil rights movement and the role of archives and archivists. Read our recently published Northwest Archivists Statement on Anti-racism, in which the Board calls on NWA members to commit to anti-racist actions and explore resources developed by colleagues and organizations.
We propose that our virtual conference highlight work and conversations related to anti-racism as the country reckons with its history and systems of white supremacy and the impact of a deadly pandemic, economic strife, and increasing threats from climate change on our communities.
Before we make a call for proposals, the Local Arrangements Committee requests feedback from NWA members and others interested to help plan the conference. As we plan our first ever virtual conference, we need your input more than ever!!
You can help by completing the brief (3 minute) Conference Planning Feedback Form by Monday, November 2.
